Stephen Truax is an artist, writer, and independent curator based in New York, NY. His critical and art historical writing focuses on the emerging art community, particularly the artist-rich neighborhood of Bushwick, where he lives and works.
He currently writes for ARTPULSE magazine, and Hyperallergic. He served as art editor at BushwickBK from 2009 until it closed in 2012. He received his B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2007.
